Last weekend, I traveled to Paris  for only few hours. It was a special experience working alone in the city. Here are some photos I took.

Around one week ago, the Engadget blog reported the achievement by Qian Qin, who successfully make the wireless inductive charging mod on Samsung Galaxy S. He also uploaded a YouTube video clip.

To reveal more details of this impressive modification, I construct my copy version and take  illustrating photos for key steps. Basically I divide my modification into two sections: the first section focuses on the remodel of micro usb plugs, the target is to reduce the space requirement of the plug; the second section is the migration of inductive circuits from the Palm Pre back cover.

Step 1.1. Remove all pins from a micro usb plug, the pins are still useful in later step (see Fig. 1). Fig. 2 shows a clear plug without any pin.

Step 1.2. Saw of the metal part of clear plug in the middle. To prevent the distortion by saw, the metal part should be fix tightly (see Fig. 3). Fig. 4 shows the two cut-off parts of a plug.

Step 1.3. Make a clear plug following the same routine as step 1.1. . Cut the plastic slots with the same length of the metal part in last step (see Fig. 5).

Step 1.4. Bent one pin to ensure that it can fit into two pin slots. Solder it with thin cable (see Fig. 6). Combine the metal, plastic parts and the pin to a new mini version of micro usb plug.

Step 2.1. Remove the inductive circuits from the Palm Pre back cover (see Fig. 7).

Step 2.2. Solder cables for the inductive circuits (see Fig. 8). Positive to the modified micro usb plug, Negative will be done in next step.

Step 2.3. Cut a small piece of copper sheet. Solder it to the negative cable in the inductive circuits (see Fig. 9).

Step 2.4. Affix the copper sheet to the Samsung Galaxy S back cover. Add filling to ensure the contact of copper sheet and the metal cover of sd card slot or sim card slot (see Fig. 10).

步骤2.5. Affix the inductive circuits to the Samsung Galaxy S back cover (see Fig. 11).

After all the 10 steps, my inductive charging works properly with the Touchstone dock.

002. Click on “Free non-commercial” under “Tools & Downloads”

003. Download “Intel® C++ Composer XE 2011 for Linux” and “Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL) for Linux”, your email-box will receive letter, which contains the series number for installation.

004. Unpack those two package files, then in each main folder, run:

sudo ./install.sh

005. Choose default setting with series number. Then installed files should be in /opt/intel/

006. Edit the .bashrc file in your user’s home folder, add following codes. Those two path are supposed to be your file location, it make change a little. And “ia32″ is the parameter of platform, you can choose what you want following the instruction in file iccvars.sh and mklvars.sh.

the path maybe slightly different due to different installation, just take a look in the install folder.
Note 1: In case of using static linking, the interface layer, threading layer, and computation layer libraries must be enclosed in grouping symbols (<-Wl,--start-group, -Wl,--end-group).
Note 2: Specifying MKL library path in the link command line is required. For example, -L/opt/intel/mkl/10.x.xxx/lib/32, so that the linker can search for real archive libraries.
Note 3: The order of listing libraries in the link line is essential, except for the libraries enclosed in the grouping symbols.

012. Set MKL library path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable before running application, e.g.,

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/intel/mkl/10.x.x.xxx/lib/32:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

My webcam, which works fine in OpenCV 2.1, could not even be launched in OpenCV 2.2. After some google work, it seems to be a known Bug of 2.2 version and has been solved in the branch but not in the package.

So, just DIY! Only one file needs to be modified: $(OpenCV Folder)\modules\highgui\src\precomp.hpp

Part 1：Unknown Restaurant in Prague for dinner

The most significant section in menu is the “CZECH CUISINE SPECIALITIES”, which include many famous food in Czech Republic. FThe Nr. 657 in menu, “Roasted smoked knuckle of pork, mustard, horseradish, hot peppers,gherkin”, got my attention by the “1300g” notation. And you will see another photo from one of my friend’s order: Nr. 2093 with 4 kinds of meat (600g).

Part 2: Prague Square

I am afraid most of chines people know Prague firstly by its Square, especially with the song “Prague Square” by Jolin. So I intentionally took pictures of it from day and night for comparison.

Part 3: Street’s in Prague

As Prague is lucky to survive in world war, people get the chance to feel some historical reminds from the shadow and reflection of the walls in old streets. For me, that kind of feeling is the purpose of traveling.

在我的脑海里，每一个至亲之人，都没有明确的形象，因为我更愿意让他们赋予我的那些零散的记忆片段，在我的自己四维世界中自由地永存。

在此五天前我从米兰旅行回到柏林，还曾经给他发去我旅行的照片若干，收到他的回信评“照片收到。看了。很有意思。”，这便是我和大伯最后一封电子邮件。

对我而言，留有大伯气息最重也是最早的实体纪念物，是我用了二十年有余的篆字“羽捷”名章。这是我初学书法之时，大伯提笔书写、家父操刀刻制的四方名章，二十年下来，已经被我磕出不少豁口。在我所有装裱过的书法作品上都留有这个印，在我书柜里那些我自己喜爱的藏品上，也都有着这个印记。如今异国求学，不敢随身带至他乡，只好在回家探亲之时，在自己新买的读物上留下它的红印。我喜欢“乱”读书的癖好，也正是在大伯的首先支持和袒护下光明正大地养成，更重要的，是从我的自主读书行为伊始，我都可以堂而皇之地选择各种风马牛不相及的主题进行阅读：散文、武侠、哲学、科普、杂文、文艺评论乃至音乐理论等等。更有意思的是细想起来，大伯给我具体推荐的读物几乎没有，但是记得在念初中的时候，他让我随意翻看电脑上的那套二十四章CD盘容量的pdf版《图书大系》，实乃我真的养成“乱读”习性之滥觞。我清晰记得自己用电脑看得第一部书是武侠题材，金庸的《笑傲江湖》，分四次前后大约共消耗30小时读完，每次都是周日从中午饭后一直看到吃完饭的时节，从那时起对我而言看书到眼冒金星的地步也是一种极大的成就。

南宁解放路的大坡，我想也只有真的在这个城市长时间生活的人才会对这个地方有第一直观印象，在我初中的时候那里曾经有过一家不记得字号的西餐厅。在一个暑假，伯父回学校办公室值班时候把我带上协助解决一些计算机方面的问题，不记得什么原因我俩的午餐要在外面自己解决，一起骑自行车回家这家餐厅，当时伯父一直手，就选定了，说是要慰劳一下我帮忙干活。这是我第一次进西餐厅，是的，我记得店面很干净，灯光不强，很安静，我喝了可口可乐和一份玉米浓汤，主食已经不记得是什么，只记得我吃得很凶猛，后来我申请再要一杯可乐的时候伯父很开心，我还问他是不是以后自己有工资的时候想喝可乐就能买，他很开心的说当然是。是的，我记得大伯以前也是爱喝可乐的。

写到这里，我很刻意地回头把上文的很多用“的”字地方改成了“地”字。“的、地、得”三个字的区别是中小学语文课上曾经仔细讲解过的，可是就我个人所见，并不是所有人都对这个问题敏感。但至少我大伯对这个问题不马虎。说来也好笑，我写错别字似乎是从初中就有的毛病，那个时候开始语文老师都会要求学生在学期中每周写周记或者假期里每天写日记，并要作为一项作业进行检查。伯父和家父都会读我的这些“流水帐”，然后用铅笔在我的每一个错别字上画圈。记得那时候他们两人轮番检查之下，我的文字几乎是没有一页上没有被圈出的字，但似乎只有大伯会圈出我用错“的”和“地”的地方。

大伯是唯一一个最喜欢和我斗嘴、而我还被允许还嘴的长辈，是的，他是我的好朋友。印象中我性格养成中一大块，至少是对外接的耐受力和自己的控制力，是在他有意的一次次的“欺压”和“讥讽”中培养起来的。那时候懵懵懂懂不解大伯的本意，久不久我就会被他“迫害”得不说一定每次涕泪交加，至少也是心气难平，要过好些时间才自己想明白。记得那时候我被他发现的窘事典故不计其数，最出名的应该是那个“曝线了”还有关于我“喜欢掉眼泪问题”系列吧。后来长大，才慢慢知道大伯对我这份特殊的疼爱，才慢慢的感觉到我这部分修养的来之不易，而我俩之间对话的模式，也就一直保持着这么”没大没小”至今。

二零一零年九月二十二日，中秋，大伯永远地离开。我更愿意说，彼得伯走了。
