Last weekend, I traveled to Paris  for only few hours. It was a special experience working alone in the city. Here are some photos I took.

Around one week ago, the Engadget blog reported the achievement by Qian Qin, who successfully make the wireless inductive charging mod on Samsung Galaxy S. He also uploaded a YouTube video clip.

To reveal more details of this impressive modification, I construct my copy version and take  illustrating photos for key steps. Basically I divide my modification into two sections: the first section focuses on the remodel of micro usb plugs, the target is to reduce the space requirement of the plug; the second section is the migration of inductive circuits from the Palm Pre back cover.

Step 1.1. Remove all pins from a micro usb plug, the pins are still useful in later step (see Fig. 1). Fig. 2 shows a clear plug without any pin.

Step 1.2. Saw of the metal part of clear plug in the middle. To prevent the distortion by saw, the metal part should be fix tightly (see Fig. 3). Fig. 4 shows the two cut-off parts of a plug.

Step 1.3. Make a clear plug following the same routine as step 1.1. . Cut the plastic slots with the same length of the metal part in last step (see Fig. 5).

Step 1.4. Bent one pin to ensure that it can fit into two pin slots. Solder it with thin cable (see Fig. 6). Combine the metal, plastic parts and the pin to a new mini version of micro usb plug.

Step 2.1. Remove the inductive circuits from the Palm Pre back cover (see Fig. 7).

Step 2.2. Solder cables for the inductive circuits (see Fig. 8). Positive to the modified micro usb plug, Negative will be done in next step.

Step 2.3. Cut a small piece of copper sheet. Solder it to the negative cable in the inductive circuits (see Fig. 9).

Step 2.4. Affix the copper sheet to the Samsung Galaxy S back cover. Add filling to ensure the contact of copper sheet and the metal cover of sd card slot or sim card slot (see Fig. 10).

步骤2.5. Affix the inductive circuits to the Samsung Galaxy S back cover (see Fig. 11).

Step 2.6. Done!!! (see Fig. 12)

After all the 10 steps, my inductive charging works properly with the Touchstone dock.

Part 1：Unknown Restaurant in Prague for dinner

The most significant section in menu is the “CZECH CUISINE SPECIALITIES”, which include many famous food in Czech Republic. FThe Nr. 657 in menu, “Roasted smoked knuckle of pork, mustard, horseradish, hot peppers,gherkin”, got my attention by the “1300g” notation. And you will see another photo from one of my friend’s order: Nr. 2093 with 4 kinds of meat (600g).

Part 2: Prague Square

I am afraid most of chines people know Prague firstly by its Square, especially with the song “Prague Square” by Jolin. So I intentionally took pictures of it from day and night for comparison.

Part 3: Street’s in Prague

As Prague is lucky to survive in world war, people get the chance to feel some historical reminds from the shadow and reflection of the walls in old streets. For me, that kind of feeling is the purpose of traveling.
